no mas por favor

As some of you may know, I plan on attempting the impossible. I am not going to go out for Mexican food until my birthday on September 25. The last time I got Mexican was with the Toschi's on July 25 so it will be a full two months. I can, however, have chips and salsa at home as well as homemade fajitas because I have to be realistic. Many of you that I have spoken with don't believe I can do it or don't understand why I would do it but I will. It is a practice in discipline, something I dearly need.

In other news, I completed my third interview for the Career Services Advisor position with Collins College but I have yet to hear a definite answer. They did have me fill out a background check which everyone seems to think means the position is mine. I should be hearing back in the next couple of days so keep your fingers crossed.

rachel is to steve as spinach is to popeye

I don't know whether it is sweet, pathetic or both but I have the hardest time motivating without Rachel. When she leaves for work in the morning, I want to do whatever makes the time go by faster so I can be with her again. This puts a serious cramp in accomplishing anything. I also refuse to allow myself to do anything like watch television or play a video game because I feel guilty with Rachel working so hard. I am excited for my job interview tomorrow and hope that I get it because I am looking forward to having purpose again or at least more purpose. In the meantime, I will battle my demons and try to be of some use.

rock the vote

Arizona Ballot Could Become Lottery Ticket

A proposal to award $1 million in every general election to one lucky resident, chosen by lottery, simply for voting — no matter for whom — has qualified for the November ballot.

Maybe this will motivate the like-voting slackers.
